About This Place

Located at 1690 El Camino Real in San Bruno, Toto's Pizzeria & Restaurant is a cherished local establishment that has been delighting pizza lovers for decades. Specializing in authentic, generously topped pizzas and classic Italian dishes, Toto’s strikes the perfect balance between tradition and vibrant flavor innovation. Whether you’re craving a hearty pizza or a comforting plate of pasta, this spot promises an inviting dining experience that feels like home.

Toto’s culinary forte lies in its meticulously crafted pizzas, with popular favorites like the Toto's Number 3 Combo Pizza loaded with pepperoni, the flavorful Olive Garlic Mushroom Pizza, and the fresh Basil Garlic Veggie Pizza. Their pizzas boast crusts that manage to be crispy at the edges yet perfectly satisfyingly thin in the center, a texture praised by many regulars. The toppings are anything but stingy—slices of fresh, high-fat mozzarella meld beautifully with homemade pinched sausage meat that cooks directly on the pie, delivering bursts of rich, savory goodness. For those who love variety, the menu also features classic cheese pizzas, at times complemented by adventurous options like meat pomodoro sauce and even pepperoni paired with pineapple for a touch of sweet and savory contrast.

Beyond pizza, Toto's offers a tempting selection of sandwiches and pasta dishes that are equally deserving of praise. Their salami & cheese sandwiches, both hot with meat sauce and cold on sourdough rolls with fresh lettuce and tomato, are an ideal choice for a substantial meal on the go. Pasta enthusiasts will appreciate hearty dishes such as traditional beef ravioli, spinach or beef tortellini, and a generous lasagna that oozes layers of melted cheese and rich sauce. Signature sides like homemade meatballs and flavorful pesto or pomodoro sauces ensure every dish is customizable to your personal cravings.

Dining at Toto’s is more than just about the food—it’s an experience punctuated by a welcoming atmosphere that effortlessly blends casual comfort with a sense of timeless tradition. Longtime patrons reminisce about the restaurant's history, with some noting its impressive longevity of over 50 years—a testament to the consistency and quality it delivers. While weekend evenings may bring a crowd, the wait only heightens the anticipation of sinking your teeth into a pizza whose aroma alone lingers in your memory long after your meal.

Customer reviews reflect genuine affection for Toto’s offerings. Kimberly Iwamoto highlights the perfectly balanced crust—crisp on the edges and generous in toppings—showing that simplicity when done right is still spectacular. Mario O. praises the nostalgia and the hearty topping portions that set Toto's apart from other pizzerias that skimp on quality. A discerning eater under the moniker “common law” underscores the use of fresh sausage and high-fat mozzarella slices as standout quality points, while long-time guest Alzila appreciates the made-from-scratch pizzas and the friendly, lively atmosphere perfect for gatherings. Paul S. draws a memorable comparison between Toto’s and the original pizzerias of Naples, Italy, admiring the unique sourdough crust and irresistible aroma.

For those landing in San Bruno or the greater Bay Area, Toto’s Pizzeria & Restaurant is a must-visit destination. Whether you’re rekindling family memories or exploring new culinary delights, Toto’s delivers a satisfying journey through authentic Italian-American flavors, combining the nostalgia of old-school pizzerias with the quality and care that keeps guests coming back time and again.

I heard from my friend that this restaurant should be over 50 years old, but I think it’s really not easy for a restaurant to survive for such a long time and I should give it a try. We ordered Extra large. It's actually a pretty delicious pizza. It may not have any special features, but the crust is not too thick but the edges are crispy and the topping is generous. I can only complained that there is not enough cheese. I will add more cheese next time.

One of my favorite spots for pizza! I've gone to their old location in Daly City years ago and their San Bruno location brought back a lot of fond memories. Their pizzas have a generous amount of toppings compared to some places that skimp out on their meat toppings. Toto's isn't part of that trend. They still make delicious, topping packed pizzas!! We ordered a small pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza which was more than enough for the two of us. We next ordered the ravioli. It was delicious as well! The ravioli were filled with meat and were complimented nicely with their marinara sauce. I'm going to give their spinach ravioli a try next time for sure! Finally, we ordered their Ceasar salad. The lettuce was crisp and the dressing was spread throughout the entire salad which was a bonus.

Eat here. Totos does some things I don't see very often. It uses fresh pinched sausage meat that cooks on the pie, not pre-cooked. It also uses high fat mozzarella slices (see pic) rather than shredded. The ingredients were excellent. Note that I'm not a big crust guy, I usually don't eat much crust as it tends to be calories without a ton of taste. Totos is an exception but there's a key step here. Order a side of their sauce. It is delicious Italian chunky tomato with a hint of basil and when I walked in I noticed some locals with a bowl, so I followed their lead. The pie itself is on the lighter side when it comes to sauce and I like it saucey but the better move is to get a side so you dip the crust. It's a buttery, flaky slight croissant crust without being overly greasy and was exceptional. Now here's the strange bit. This place isn't a restaurant, it's a pizza joint, so the atmosphere is dated and basic, no wait staff,etc.. but the counter help was friendly and obliging. The strange bit is this isn't New York thing orange grease late night delicious NOR is it Chicago deep dish. Rather, it is one of the only places that is happily in the middle, dense enough mouth feel and hearty enough with very generous ingredients, it's about half the weight of Chi deep or double the weight of NY cracker thing crust. That in turn makes it an excellent choice for a meal. They don't do slices, everything is fresh, so expect a 14 inch personal pizza with 3 ingredients to run about $28. Pricey for lunch but easily two meals or lunch for 2 people so per person it's $14 and it is excellent so long as you read the above and aren't expecting NY or Chicago, but taste and value wise it's 5 stars. Food wise, it's top of the mid-weight pizza class of pies. I will be back and if you haven't been, it's a must try. They cook to order in terms of doneness and sauce.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. They have pizzas that fit for everyone’s taste, fresh made pizzas, oven baked sandwiches, salads, etc. I usually come in with friends for a pizza which is made from scratch and that’s definitely a plus. Sometimes there can be a wait usually during weekends and for the dinner rush, but I don’t mind at all because I have high patience. They do offer dine in which is on a first come first serve basis. I recommend this place for all pizza lovers, if you want something for a party, gathering or just if you so happen to be in the area. I definitely will be back to tryout their other delicious options they have to offer.

I can taste the pizza still! How can a pizza be a pizza, a lasagna and sandwich? Pro tip, alternate the pizza with the pizza crust. Yes, this is first place I hit up after landing in SFO to visit family and friends. The pizza smell is killer. I’ve been to the first pizzeria place in Naples Italy. Toto’s can hold its own. Toto’s pizza is very unique. The dough is, what, sourdough? The crust in the center has got that very healthy olive oil dipping vibe and the crust is tender and the outer crunchy. Taste and texture, check. The tomato sauce is its own NYC/American (tomato’s sauce from Nor Cal? Vs the tomatoes from the Mt Vesuvius, a little more tart (again different). The cheese and toppings are all top notch too. I can taste the pizza now and when I visualize pizza. Toto’s pizza is primo pizza.. Even in Italy, pizza is eaten with a fork and knife first a reason. No flop pizza is a joke

I grew up going to Toto's on Mission St in SF and in Daly City. This will always be my favorite pizza place. Pizza dough is perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Their salad is best and their pastas are really good too.

This is my go to pizza spot and they have the best pizzas in town. I love their #5. Their pizza is amazing because they have a good crust and a nice cheese pull. It is piping hot when served as it should be. You get very big slices of pizza and a generous amount of toppings. You get what you pay for and I would go here at least twice a month after school for a nice meal. They have two TVs in here with sports playing on them. Nice little touch with entertainment while we eat our piping hot pizza. Sometimes I come here to eat pizza and watch some Giants baseball.
